Backing up his front-page treatment from the New York Times, California billionaire Tom Steyer also floated additional political plans to POLITICO to make sure that liberal elites understand that he will be the one dictating the top issue for Democrats not just in 2014, but also in the presidential contest in 2016.
Evidently arrogance comes naturally for someone who made millions of dollars betting on fossil fuels in his hedge fund days, and now wants to make sure no one follows in that path.
Steyer’s plans to try to make liberal politicians toe his “climate change is the only issue that matters” line should be of concern in Washington State, given his shady efforts to tip the scales in a hotly-contested State Senate race last year.
Or perhaps all this additional publicity on Steyer’s big-money plans may finally motivate out state’s Public Disclosure Commission to actually investigate his sleazy – and seemingly illegal – activities from 2013. Before he taints elections here this year.

How many ways to say hypocrite! Actually, I should be more gracious as people can and do change their political positions for a number of reasons. It is ironic however, that he made at least part of his fortune by investing in fossil fuels, yet now is willing to spend it to defeat Dems who are maybe on the same journey he traveled? Very strange, but funnier than heck!

Don’t you mean using his oil money to dictate the policies for the Democrats and influence peddling in our elections to suit his radical, so-called (but actually self-aggrandizing) agenda?
