California billionaire – and sometime target of the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission – is not off to a good start this week.
First, the Wall Street Journal highlights how his take-no-prisoners approach to campaigns against those who disagree with his radical environmental agenda is a political loser.
And now the Washington Post points out that former ally George Schultz, who helped Steyer in a California initiative campaign a few years back, has broken with him on the Keystone pipeline – along with a billionaire with even more money than Steyer, Warren Buffett.
Days like this might make you wonder how Steyer’s fundraising is going for his $100 million attack campaign planned for this year.
