Some things you can count on, and it turns out that counting on Attorney General Bob Ferguson to keep his up his sleazy campaign finance practices is one of them. That’s according to the Washington State Standard, which has a lengthy piece about Ferguson’s continued problem following the law. Governor Jay Inslee has had over a decade to put his mark on the state’s mental health system, and he has done a remarkable job – as the Olympian reports a ” federal judge has found Washington state in contempt and ordered it to pay more than $100 million in fines for failing to provide timely psychiatric services to mentally ill people who are forced to wait in jails for weeks or months.” Heckuva job, Jay.

The Olympian highlights a judge ruling that Inslee’s “Washington Department of Social and Health Services has been violating the constitutional rights of these people since 2015 due to a ‘lack of foresight, creativity, planning and timely response to a crisis of its own making.’” You can read more about the abject failure of the Inslee administration here … Olympian.

You might think that an award-winning program would be a priority for Seattle Public Schools, given how much bad news the school district generates.  But that is not how the very confused adults running the school district are acting, as the Seattle Times reports that “To help save a beloved middle school jazz program, Seattle Public Schools turned to one of its Grammy Award-winning former students for help.”

That’s right, instead of actually budgeting for the money that is available, the Seattle schools’ budget writers were just going to eliminate a program that serves so many underserve students. Fortunately for these pathetic so-called “administrators” the  “SPS contacted Quincy Jones, a Garfield High School graduate and legendary music producer, for a donation after dozens of Washington Middle School students, parents and educators asked the district to save the jazz band from budget cuts. Jones, a 28-time Grammy winner, gave the district $50,000.” You can read more about how these school officials have troubles with math here…Seattle Times.

Washington’s Democrat officials have scurried to avoid blame as gas prices soared in last month, but even national news outlets are catching on to the real reason. As Fox News highlights, the problem is “California usually leads the nation and is currently at a sky-high $4.85 per gallon, but this year it has been eclipsed by Washington state at a hefty $4.98 per gallon. The reason is clear – costly climate change policies adopted by both states – and it provides lessons for the rest of the nation”.

Even though Governor Jay Inslee has tried to blame everything but his own far-Left agenda, claiming that his chosen policy would “be pennies” of added fuel costs, you can find out more about his he continues to try and deceive Washington voters here…  Fox News.

The Democrats running the show in Olympia have made it clear that they favor criminal rights over citizen rights – as Shift covered during the recent legislative session. The result of the Democrats policy preference is becoming clear – as KING 5 reports that “murder reached an all-time high in 2022 and violent crime rose in Washington state while law enforcement staffing continue to nosedive.”
