Journalist's Vile Post Sparks Outrage, Prompts Scrutiny of The Stranger's Rhetoric
Ashley Nerbovig – a so-called “journalist” at The Stranger – gained national attention for one of the vilest X posts following the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. Nerbovig posted “make america aim again” shortly after news broke. After gaining much deserved backlash, she deleted the post and took her X account offline, while her author page was removed from The Stranger’s website. The publication later issued a statement condemning political violence, though – as KTTH’s Jason Rantz points out – we’ll never know if the far-Left magazine would have bothered if Nerbovig’s post did not go viral. Of course, Nerbovig’s post is not an isolated incident – journalists at The Stranger have a long record of troubling rhetoric. Read more at MyNorthwest.com.
Aberdeen Mayor Douglas Orr Claims Trump Assassination Attempt Was Staged, Cites “Gut Feeling”
Not to be outdone by far-left reporters in Seattle, Aberdeen’s Democrat Mayor Douglas Orr responded to the attempted assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump by suggesting it was “staged.” In an unhinged Facebook post full of spelling errors, Orr speculated that Trump may have self-inflicted his injury. Despite deleting the post, Orr doubled down on his absurd opinion. He reiterated his skepticism during an interview with KTTH’s Jason Rantz. And, in perhaps the most ridiculous part of the story, Orr defended his statement by playing the victim. From KTTH:
“Orr deleted the post, though only because he thought ‘the people’s replies were getting out of line.’
“‘I respectfully have the right to say what was my gut feeling. I don’t believe that people have the right to intimidate me or disrespect me for my respectful comment,’ Orr exclusively told ‘The Jason Rantz Show’ on KTTH.”
