Bob Ferguson’s Fundraising Efforts: Celebrating Inflation and Higher Costs with a Side of Delusion
Bob Ferguson Celebrates Skyrocketing Costs and Plummeting Safety
Far-left Bob Ferguson sent out an email fundraiser that – essentially – could be summed up with: “I’m excited for more inflation, higher energy prices and less public safety – are you excited too?”
Ferguson’s email expresses his excitement about Kamala Harris choosing Tim Walz as her Vice Presidential nominee. And somehow ties it all to the need to defeat Dave Reichert who he attempts to – laughably – label an “extreme candidate.”
Bob, you are projecting. And no, Bob. We are not excited about higher prices for day-to-day necessities.
Washington Democrats' Plot to Ghost RFK Jr. Falls Flat: Voters to Decide His Fate Instead
The Washington Democrat Party was officially unsuccessful in keeping Robert F. Kennedy Jr off the General Election ballot. The ballot will feature 11 pairs of presidential and vice-presidential candidates, including nine from minor parties and independent candidates. To qualify, these minor parties had to gather 1,000 signatures from registered voters and hold state conventions within a designated period. The candidates include Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (We The People Party), Jill Stein (Green Party), and Cornel West (Justice For All Party), among others. Ballots will be mailed to voters on October 18, with candidates listed in order based on their party’s performance in the last presidential election. Read more at MyNorthwest.com.
Sunsets on Badger Mountain: Governor's Green Dream Becomes a Tribal Nightmare
Another “green energy” boondoggle pushed by our green governor just went sideways after state officials were caught tipping the scale in favor of the project’s out-of-state profiteers and against the interests of local tribes. A solar project on Badger Mountain, led by Avangrid Renewables, was paused after concerns arose about the impact on Indigenous cultural sites. Investigations revealed that the developer-funded survey omitted several significant archaeological locations. Tribal nations, including the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation and the Yakama Nation, have long opposed the project, citing its threat to their cultural heritage. Despite the pause, tribes are still worried their concerns won’t prevent the project from eventually moving forward – given their past experiences with Jay Inslee’s “green energy” developments. Washington's Unemployment Woes: Proof That High Taxes and Bad Policy Aren't a Winning Combo
Washington’s unemployment rate in June 2024 was 4.9%, making it the 7th worst in the nation, a significant drop from 3.8% a year ago. While sectors like tech and aerospace remain strong, layoffs and high interest rates have strained job growth. The state’s Unemployment Trust Fund, which Democrats depleted during the pandemic, has not fully recovered, leading to increased unemployment taxes on employers. As the Washington Policy Center points out, our state’s challenging business environment, characterized by Democrats’ high taxes like the Business and Occupation tax and a new capital gains tax, further complicates growth. Of course, many business owners may relocate to avoid these taxes, impacting the economy. Read more at the Washington Policy Center.
