DEMOCRATS LOVE IT WHEN THEY GET A JUDGE THAT SEES EVERYTHING THEIR WAY

DEMOCRATS CAN’T WIN 15TH DISTRICT WITH THEIR CANDIDATES, SO THEY CONVINCE JUDGE TO TAKE OVER REDISTRICTING (AGAIN)

You can tell that Democrats are straining with reality to win a legislative district when they argue to a judge that it’s not enough to have a majority of the voters they want in a district – in this case, Latino voters – but that they must have the kind of Latino voter that turns out to vote at a high enough rate to offset the general unpopularity of Democrats in Eastern Washington. And, as the Washington State Standard reports, they found a judge willing to buy that it is the fault of the way the district lines were drawn that a Republican Latina was elected to the state senate in the district – because to the judge evidently only if a Democrat wins does it show that “Latino voters in that area (can) elect their candidate of choice.”

The redistricting case has not cleared the courts yet, though, as a “different group of Latino voters contend redistricting commissioners got the boundaries wrong because they focused too much on race – they term it “racial gerrymandering” – in violation of the equal protection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment of the federal Constitution.” You can find out more about how Governor Jay Inslee’s office has not yet determined how to best turn the court ruling to the Democrats’ advantage (“We are still reviewing the order, and we’ll discuss options with legislative leaders. No decisions have been made” said a PR flak) here… Washington State Standard.

LEAVE IT TO SEATTLE’S HOMELESSNESS INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX TO MAKE THE CRISIS WORSE BY NOT LETTING PEOPLE MOVE INTO EXISTING TINY HOMES

Homelessness has officially been a crisis in King County for almost a decade, according to Democrat politicians. That’s why, on a day when people here remain stunned at the pictures of home destruction in Hawaii, a story on KOMO news about “200 tiny homes (sitting) locked behind a gate at a storage yard” in SODO seems almost surreal. Why can’t the bureaucrats move people into homes built for the homeless?

You can read the embarrassing excuses from the King County Regional Homeless Authority (“As always, the ability to move more people inside depends on the availability of places for people to go,” said one flak, ignoring the lot full of unused tiny homes) and get more frustrated with the situation here.. KOMO News.

WHICH WILL HAPPEN FIRST – FORMER WSU FOOTBALL COACH WILL GET HIS COVID DAY IN COURT, OR THE PAC 12 WILL SIMPLY GO AWAY?

Nick Rolovich has been gone as the Washington State University football coach for almost two years, but his pursuit of justice is still over a year away. That’s according to MyNorthwest, which reports that Rolovich, “fired for refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine, will get his day in court, but it won’t come anytime soon. A federal judge in Spokane set a trial date for December 9, 2024.”

In the meantime, the question remains whether the conference that Rolovich was working in when fired in 2021 for following his religious beliefs instead of Governor Jay Inslee’s partisan vaccine mandate even exists when a judge rules whether he was treated fairly. You can read more about the long arc of justice here… MyNorthwest.
