The Daily Briefing – April 26, 2023

TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES

Scheduled internet outages have become unresolved issues, so today’s Briefing has become a quick Twitter tour. Hope your (technical) day has gone better than Shift’s has gone.

EVIDENTLY THEY WERE PROMISED NO MATH WOULD BE ON THE TEST

One has to wonder what goes on in the minds of some school board members like those at the Northshore School District when a school board can mismanage its way to a “projected $21 million shortfall and is planning to slash about 5% of its total budget” and the initial answer is “the district plans to cut at least six administrative jobs for the next school year.” Seems like that doesn’t get you to $21 million. If it’s about the kids, not the adults, maybe more admin jobs should go? (MyNorthwest)
