Democrats in Olympia claim their failed bill banning police from pursuing criminals is unpopular because of “misinformation” – not skyrocketing crime rates.

HOUSE DEMOCRATS TRY TO KILL PURSUIT LAW BY YELLING “MISINFORMATION, " WILL TRY TO KILL IN SENATE NOW

One of the mysteries of this legislative session is why House Speaker Laurie Jinkins will not stand up to the most liberal members of her caucus to protect public safety and allow the disastrous 2021 law (House Bill 1054) preventing police from pursuing suspects to be fixed. Evidently, according to Representative Julia Reed, it’s all because of an “incredible amount of misinformation,” even though an amended minor fix to the bill passed the House overnight and will return to the Senate.

And Rep. Reed doesn’t think her colleagues are just confused after being told that their law allows suspected car thieves to get away free by just driving off. She wants them to embrace car theft, telling the News Tribune “that lawmakers were not listening to the needs of communities with the legislation and that they were instead telling community members that ‘promises from this chamber to prioritize their safety that we made less than two years ago are just checks they can’t cash.’”

You can see why saying “checks they can’t cash” means trying to shame her fellow Democrats into once again standing with criminals instead of crime victims by reading more here… (News Tribune)

FARMERS FACE STATE INCOME TAX ON LAND SALES IF THE DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE WON’T DO ITS JOB – WHICH IS FINE WITH JAY INSLEE

The Democrats passed their latest version of a state income tax in 2021, and since then, the state’s Department of Revenue has been unable/unwilling to answer why some farmers will face state income taxes if they sell their land, even though farms were exempted from the law. And now that the State Supreme Court has bizarrely defined the unconstitutional income tax as an “excise tax,” the bill may be coming due for agricultural land owners who trusted the Democrats when they were promised they were exempted from the new tax. DEMOCRATS PROVIDE MORE GOOD NEWS TO CRIMINALS

It’s been a long time in coming for the Democrats, but yesterday they were finally able to deliver the good news to Green River Killer Gary Ridgway and the other members of Washington’s death row that “we’ve got your back” by repealing the state’s death penalty law. Of course, Governor Jay Inslee had already shown his support for all-white members of death row by “issuing a moratorium on executions, saying he ‘was not convinced equal justice is being served.’”

Now Ridgway can rest easier knowing he will avoid the fate of his dozens of murder victims, thanks to what State Senator. Jamie Pedersen told Axios: “The law’s formal repeal makes ‘a profound moral statement,’” that evidently, the state’s Democrat elected officials need to protect the rights of criminals more than their victims. More of the depressing insight into the liberal mindset is here…(Axios-Seattle)
