If you’re sick of higher taxes, lower accountability, and far-let politicians congratulating themselves while everything falls apart — it’s time to start voting them out.

Tomorrow’s the Day — Time to End the One-Party Circus in Olympia
Election Day is tomorrow, and change won’t happen unless you show up — or, better said, drop off that ballot. Democrats have had a stranglehold on this state long enough, and the results speak for themselves: higher costs, lower accountability, and plenty of excuses.
It’s time to send a message. Find your nearest ballot drop box and make your vote count before 8 p.m. Tuesday. Locate your ballot drop box here.
Democrats’ Pandemic “Generosity” Comes Back to Bite Businesses
Remember when Democrats patted themselves on the back for “helping” businesses during COVID? Turns out that $2.5 billion in pandemic-era tax breaks drained one of the nation’s healthiest unemployment trust funds—and now employers could be on the hook for another $700 million to clean up the mess.
The state’s unemployment fund is bleeding faster than it’s refilling, thanks to higher benefit usage and policy decisions that prioritized optics over sustainability. Employer contributions next year will total about $1.7 billion, but payouts are expected to hit $2.4 billion. If the fund’s balance dips below seven months of benefits, a “solvency tax” of up to 0.2% kicks in—possibly as soon as next year—and could stick around into the 2030s.
Naturally, the same lawmakers who created the problem are now mulling over “fixes”: lowering the trigger, punting the tax for another few years, or pretending the numbers will magically sort themselves out. Businesses, already drowning under billions in new taxes to fill the state’s latest budget shortfall, aren’t buying it.
As one business rep put it, the whole setup feels “arbitrary.” Translation: another expensive example of Democrats playing accountant with Monopoly money. Read more at the Washington State Standard.
Democrats Can’t Decide If Michelle Caldier Is MAGA or a RINO — So They Picked Both
Democrats in Washington’s 26th Legislative District are officially in meltdown mode. Their pet PAC, New Direction, just mailed out a trio of attack ads against Republican Senate candidate Michelle Caldier — calling her a “RINO,” an “Ultra MAGA,” and a one-time Jay Inslee donor. All from the same PAC. All with the same return address. Sent to the same voters.
You couldn’t script a better example of political desperation.
Funded by the usual Democrat special interests — SEIU, WEA, WFSE, and even Delta Dental — the PAC’s handlers at Blue Wave Politics apparently thought they could confuse voters with contradictory smears. Instead, they just outed themselves as clumsy manipulators terrified of losing their tax-happy supermajority.
Caldier, who’s known for her independent streak and common-sense fiscal positions, laughed it off: “I had three attack ads the same day. One said I was MAGA, one Ultra MAGA, and one said I’m a RINO. They’re grasping at straws.”
Translation: Democrats can’t figure out which lie will stick, so they’re throwing everything at the wall — even if it makes zero sense.
And make no mistake — it’s panic time. If Caldier flips this seat, Democrats lose their supermajority and their grip on the nonstop tax-and-spend circus in Olympia.
So while the Left insults voters with their contradictory propaganda, Caldier’s message is simple: every vote matters. After all, the seat was last decided by just 104 votes — and judging by the Democrats’ latest stunt, they know that number haunts them. Read more at Seattle Red.
Democrats Shut Down the Government — Then Blame Republicans for the Empty Food Banks
As the government shutdown drags into its 33rd day, Rep. Michael Baumgartner (R-Spokane) says what everyone else is thinking: Democrats are playing politics while working families pay the price. During a virtual press conference, Baumgartner blasted Governor Bob Ferguson and Democratic leaders for prioritizing partisan posturing over reopening the government and protecting food assistance programs.
Food banks like Spokane’s Second Harvest have seen demand spike by nearly 50%, with families anxious about losing SNAP and WIC benefits. But instead of fixing the problem, Democrats are more focused on appeasing their “extreme base” and polishing their Trump-hating credentials.
Baumgartner called out Ferguson directly, accusing him of using federal issues as political theater: “His whole political career has been built around fighting Trump,” he said, challenging the governor to a public debate on taxes, fiscal priorities, and food aid — “even in Seattle.”
Meanwhile, Washington businesses and families are caught in the crossfire of yet another Democrat-manufactured crisis. As Baumgartner put it, “This is not a game. There are real people suffering.”
Maybe if Democrats spent less time crafting press releases about Trump and more time keeping the government open, Washington families wouldn’t need to rely on food banks to survive their “leadership.” Read more at Seattle Red.
