WASHINGTON DEMOCRATS STAND PROUDLY – FOR GERRYMANDERING

DEMOCRATS' RACIST REDISTRICTING PLAN DRAWS MORE FIRE

The Democrats hope for keeping their racist redistricting plan under the radar seems to be sinking, with the Seattle Times even providing a space today for a rational voice against the racist maps. That’s the viewpoint of Gloria Mendoza, the former mayor of Grandview, who actually lives in the area affected by the new lines and writes that “Judge (Robert) Lasnik’s map is nothing less than partisan political gerrymandering, which in the name of helping Hispanics will actually disenfranchise many of us — including our outstanding Sen. (Nikki) Torres.”

Shift has long highlighted the efforts by the Washington state Democrat Party to get judges to draw partisan maps which would illegally benefit Democrats. You can read on for why the liberals finally found one, in “Lasnik (who) is Democrat-appointed and is based in Seattle. He presumed to judge the state redistricting commission’s new maps based on how well they do in electing a so-called ‘Latino preferred candidate.’ And what is a ‘Latino preferred candidate’ to Judge Lasnik? That candidate would be a Democrat.” Seems those liberal judges always seem to find the solution that is a Democrat one. … Seattle Times.

EVEN GRUNGE ROCKERS KNOW THAT DEMOCRATS ARE RIPPING OFF THE STATE

In one of the more ironic editorials we’ve seen here at Shift, former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic pointed out in his own blog what liberal reporters who need to maintain their access to Governor Jay Inslee and other far-Left Democrats will never write: that “Washington, through the efforts of special interests — and the lawmakers and judges who enable them — is no longer a redistricting commission state. Indeed, this program is still in our state constitution, and we’re supposed to convene the next one in 2031, but after the 2021 round, and the litigation which nullified its purpose, the future is bleak for the commission process.”
