Seattle City Councilmember Mike O’Brien made a $200,000 budget request to study the effects of putting tolls on the new Highway 99 tunnel. O’Brien wants to know how many drivers would use the toll and if it would help to force people onto transit instead. (The Seattle Times)

Workers from S.S. Steiner’s pellet and warehouse departments in Yakima have been striking for a little over a month now. The picketers claim the primary issue in the contract negotiations is S.S.
