Elected officials like Roger (Not A) Goodman must eventually get so used to saying whatever it takes to get elected that they will keep making things up even after they have been caught. As Shift pointed out last week, the 45th District Democrat representative claimed in a campaign mailer that he was the MADD “National Legislator of the Year” – even though no such award exists!
And while you can expect such dishonesty from a deeply flawed (driving his kids while stoned, not paying child support, etc.) individual like (Not A) Goodman, you have to wonder when a respected organization like Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) will decide it is tired of being used by a dishonest politician, and let the media know that he is not telling the truth.
Showing that he evidently has no shame whatsoever, in his most recent mailer, (Not A) Goodman uses the personal tragedy of a woman who lost her leg in an accident caused by “an impaired driver” to defend himself against the court document that indicates he himself has been an “impaired driver” with his own kids in the car!
Perhaps it is karma that caused (Not A) Goodman to even misspell MADD’s name in the same mailer. Let’s hope MADD is paying attention, and decides it doesn’t not want to continue being embarrassed by association with (Not A) Goodman.
