Former State Representative Tim Probst is having a hard time returning to the legislature. First, he lost a race to move up to the Senate in 2012. Fortunately his Democrat friends found him a cushy, $100,000+ state job to pass the time until he could run again this year – though in trying to hide that job from prying public eyes, earlier this year he was found to have violated Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) rules about reporting his job (and income).
Then, he lost the August primary election to State Representative Lynda Wilson in a repeat try for the Senate, making him an underdog in next month’s general election.
However, he needn’t fear, as his liberal buddies from Seattle are coming to his defense, slinging mud and trying to slime Rep. Wilson from several hundred miles away from her legislative district in Vancouver. The charge is that – horrors – her husband, brother-in-law and other family members contributed to her campaign!
The Democrats are deploying their usual attack dogs – Fuse Washington – to try to distract attention from their ethically challenged candidate. People familiar with the liberal attack network which Shift originally exposed back in 2014 will recognize Fuse as one of the many groups which operates in the shadows to help liberal candidates. It is among those groups secretly funded by the Progress Alliance of Washington, a group of millionaires and billionaires who want to export their far-Left agenda far beyond their Seattle offices.
All of which makes Fuse’s attack on Rep. Wilson even more laughable – a liberal group that doesn’t disclose its rich donors throwing mud at a candidate who does disclose her donors, to try and help a struggling candidate who was found guilty of not following public disclosure rules for over three years.
Hypocrisy, today thy name is Fuse.
