In a tired repeat of their willingness to break ethics rules if it allows them to attack Republicans, Democrat congressional leaders Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid intentionally violated congressional ethics rules to put the spotlight on a far-left film at the Capitol Visitors Center.
Pelosi and Reid brought their fellow Democrats together to celebrate the release of a new attack on the Koch Brothers by “left-wing videomaker Robert Greenwald” at the taxpayer-funded facility, prompting an ethics complaint against them, according to the Washington Free Beacon.
But it had to be worth it to Pelosi and Reid, as it allowed them yet another opportunity to suck up to liberal billionaire donor Tom Steyer, who is indispensable to their party. Reid made his feelings for Steyer very clear at the event when he said,
“I’m very happy that there are people out there willing to spend some money to focus on things like [the Keystone XL pipeline]… We need people like Tom Steyer.”
