Petroleum has been spilled from an unknown source in the Green River. As of yesterday, a hazmat team is still investigating what caused the spill – although they have narrowed down the source to being somewhere between 212th and 228th streets in Kent.
Former Bellevue football coach’s ban is found in violation of union rights as per a ruling made by the Public Employment Relations Commission last week. Former coach Butch Goncharoff and assistant Pat Jones were banned from coaching for two years, as well as banned from communicating with people associated with the school district.
17 teachers from the Seattle area spent a week in Marine boot camp in order to help prepare them for speaking with their students about potential careers in the armed forces – and to help them learn a little bit more about the lives of Marines.

Five more horses have been infected with the West Nile Virus in Spokane according to the Spokane Regional Health District. Tests have shown mosquitos turning out to be positive with the disease. Only one human has been infected with the virus so far this year in Washington State.
