Sound Transit is already $500 million over budget and six months behind schedule for the opening of their Lynnwood extension. You can add this to a very long list of bungled Sound Transit projects.
King County Metro wants a uniform fare rate in order to streamline fares across the county for all ages and groups. “As our cities and towns have grown into a true metropolitan region, and our economy has become truly regional, the time for change has come,” County Executive Dow Constantine said.

Spokane City Council approved tax cuts for multifamily housing structures as a part of their efforts to “continue building the city from the core out,” according to Councilwoman Candace Mumm.
School budgets in Spokane are growing 7.2%. The board of directors for Spokane Public Schools approved a $419 million budget for this upcoming school year with the majority of the additional funding slated to be used for teacher salaries and funding more teacher support.
