Crosscut reported that the $15 minimum wage increase will sail through Seattle, no reason to even have an election – even though it can’t make it through Frank Chopp’s Democrat-controlled House.
Of course, the reason the labor-backed minimum wage supporters would only float this story to the Stranger is that Seattle liberals love to trumpet silly lost causes with huge poll numbers – like the vaunted Espresso Tax back in 2003.
Other media outlets might not be as willing to do labor’s bidding as an outlet that depends on their money like the Stranger, so perhaps this is a “grain-of-salt” story.
