In a deep thinking piece from the national Associated Press Economics Desk (bet you don’t read those every day), the author suggests that our still-struggling economy may be “as good as it gets” for awhile. After wading through weak growth rates and high jobless figures to predict whether the U.S. economy will ever return to its more robust days, the author leaves us with this happy (and completely obvious) thought:
“A decade is a long time. But a long time is not the same as forever.”
Sounds like an Insleeism in the making…
Left unsaid in the piece is how government action could maybe (and that’s a big maybe) help the economy break out. But of course that would require pro-growth actions by government – and instead in Washington State the liberal “leaders” in Olympia are focusing on raising taxes, raising the already-highest-in-the-nation minimum wage and increasing government regulations that will slow business growth.
Yep, that’s the ticket out of these economic doldrums.
