It turns out that certain public employee union lobbyists are inclined to keep the public in the dark about the contracts funded by public dollars.
The Freedom Foundation points out the hypocrisy of certain union officials, who tell the Senate one thing and then tell the House another, all in an effort to keep their employment contracts from being easily accessed. Perhaps explaining the unions’ motivation most forthrightly is former Democrat legislator – and now labor lobbyist – Geoff Simpson. Evidently the union lobbyists are afraid the public might find out what’s actually in their contract, saying the bill is bad because:
“there are organizations out there that would love to have this information just for the purpose of cherry picking information in one centralized location to paint public employees in a bad light.”
Others might say the truth shall set you free…
