The media loves to point out all the supposed divisions in the Republican Party – the Tea Party against the Establishment, Moderates vs. Conservatives, etc. – but a bit rarer is that same type of analysis of the fissures in the Democrat Party.
And, it turns out, there are big fights on the horizon between the liberals and the ultra-liberals (who go by Progressives nowadays, because evidently voters don’t like liberals all that much) according to the Washington Post, which points out that:
“The Democratic Party, by various measures of public opinion, has moved to the left in the past decade. But that does not necessarily mean that progressives have become the party’s dominant force or that the policies and messages they advocate can carry the day in a national election.”
So come liberals, embrace your inner tax-raising policies, and say it loud – ‘I’m from big government, and I’m here to help you’!
