The year-long debate by the Seattle City Council on how it could slow – or even stop – a transportation innovation in the city reached a semi-end point this week, with the vote to limit the number of UberX, Lyft and Sidecar drivers allowed on city streets at any one time. In a hilarious piece in Geek Wire, Greg Gottesman points out to the city council the folly of their ways, with some helpful suggestions on what they could try to limit next – all in the name of protecting the city’s “legitimate interests.”
