The extremely vacuous – even by Democrat legislative candidate standards – Matt Isenhower is waging a lonely campaign for attention the 45th District. His primary campaign vehicle seems to be Twitter, where he repeats whatever SEIU 775NW or the WEA tell him is important.
This week, after his State Sen. Andy Hill passed a bill to improve education funding in the state, Isenhower was reduced to tweeting an attack on Sen. Hill saying he is “running for State Senate so we don’t have to choose between our kids’ education and their food and healthcare.” A nice sound bite, but then what taxes does Mr. Isenhower wish to raise so he doesn’t have to choose between spending options?
And further, besides being told by the teachers union that it was a bad idea, why doesn’t Isenhower support Andy Hill’s plan to devote two-thirds of future state revenue growth to funding education?
