In the latest news concerning the race we like to refer to as the (McDermott) Hunger Games, State Senator Pramila Jayapal may have just received a game-changing endorsement — especially considering Seattle voters. Jayapal received the endorsement of Socialist Bernie Sanders.
“On Tuesday, Sanders emailed his millions of supporters urging them to help state Sen. Jayapal replace retiring Democratic Rep. Jim McDermott in Washington’s 7th Congressional District, which covers much of Seattle, some suburban areas and Vashon Island.”
Opponents State Representative Brady Walkinshaw and King County Council member Joe McDermott (no relation to retiring U.S. Representative Jim McDermott) are downplaying the endorsement. They claim voters “care more about local transportation and housing solutions than a mass movement.”
But, the Sanders importance cannot be dismissed that easily. According to the Seattle Times, the endorsement is already helping Jayapal in a significant way. Sanders raised “about $180,000 for Jayapal in five days and doubled the number of contributors to her campaign when he endorsed her in April.”
Looks like Jayapal’s endorsement of Bernie Sanders for President has paid off.
Nasty socialist traitors!
I am both AMAZED….. and totally DIGUESTED….. at how much the United States of America has changed. If I had told my friends just 20 years ago, that a man would not only run for president as a SOCIALIST, but have a notable number of followers in doing so, my friends would have told me to go find a good chunk of tin foil to make me a hat with. I have talked to many of these SOCIALIST, and they keep telling me “It’s NOT socialism! It’s Democratic Socialism and it’s TOTALLY different from communism or socialism as I understand it.
First off, who the hell do they think they are, to suppose that THEY know how much knowledge or even education I have. To say that’s “presumptuous” is too kind, even though it’s appropriate. Secondly, I have not JUST studied their positions, but to make sure I have them clear, I have very carefully written them down, so that I cold repeat back exactly what they are saying so I DON’T misinterpret their positions.
Here is my conclusions: 1) This modern day “Democratic Socialist” movement, IS INDEED socialism by ANY name. The “leaders” have given it a name change to make it SOUND like it’s something else so they can DECLARE it’s different, even though it is NOT. 2) Their position on specific topics is CLASSIC CO9MMUNISM. So while they call it, “The new great savior of America”, it is not. It is a tool to kill free markets, free income, and the freedom to use your income as you desire. So while you traitors want to THINK you are doing something different, and something positive, YOU ARE NOT! This “Democratic Socialism” is Socialism/Communism straight out of the Marxist play book, and it’s against EVERYTHING this country has stood for.
