Inslee’s begging for bucks falls short

Evidently it wasn’t just the media and those watching who were underwhelmed by Jay Inslee’s debate performance against Bill Bryant this week. The “green” governor’s own campaign donors don’t appear to be very impressed either.

In fact, Inslee has been reduced to sending out his fifth email in just 60 hours, all to try and raise a relatively paltry $10,000 from his existing supporters to show they “have his back.”

Perhaps if Jay had offered some plan – any plan – for adequately funding our public schools, or even broke out some of his famous “secret sauce” containing a bold idea for improving his management of state government, then maybe the dollars would come rolling in.

But, no, instead, Inslee was left making jokes about 20-year-old campaign contributions, and suggesting Donald Trump was the biggest issue facing Washington State.

This despite the fact that even Jay acknowledges “there are some big stakes for Washington families this election year.”

Wonder how many more email Inslee will have to send to raise that $10,000 he so desperately needs to try to fool the voters again this year?
