Jay Inslee has shown an inability to get many of his legislative priorities through the Democrat-controlled House –like the tax increases he sought this year or the minimum wage increase he wanted to implement– let alone through the bi-partisan State Senate. So its little wonder that he has decided the only way to push his extreme environmental agenda is to jam through job-killing regulations.
He finally admitted his plan to raise gas prices without seeking legislative approval last week. This week, he is focused on an obscure rule regarding fish-consumption, with the Associated Press reporting that Inslee is considering raising the rates by 20 to 30 times their current rate.
Evidently, the state has far too many jobs being created for Inslee to keep claiming he’s the nation’s “greenest” governor, so he has to try do something to slow that pesky economic growth.
