Democrat lawmaker tells education supporter “go to bed”

Democrat state Senator Cyrus Habib doesn’t have a whole lot of tact when it comes to social media. Not too long ago Habib engaged in a heated Facebook exchange with a Bellevue City Councilmember over the state Senate’s bi-partisan transportation package. As Shift pointed out, Habib didn’t exactly keep it civil.

Yesterday, Habib was at it again responding “go to bed” to a tweet directed at him by an education supporter. The grassroots education activist pointed out that, rather than concentrating on the pressing matter of passing a state budget and funding education first, Habib was more concerned with engaging in a hyper-partisan debate over the death penalty.

Habib did not take kindly to being called out and attempted to shut down the criticism of his focus on partisanship instead of budget solutions. You can check out his testy retort below.
