Seattle labor activists are not happy with small businesses who challenge their extreme $15 minimum wage agenda—so they are boycotting them.
Organizing under the name Support Seattle Workers, $15 minimum wage activists set up a website to facilitate boycotting efforts. The boycott specifically targets businesses involved in Forward Seattle—the group currently working to overturn Seattle’s $15 minimum wage ordinance.
According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, Working Washington—the group of activists organizing the boycott—claim that “the $15 minimum wage is already a law and Forward Seattle measure – which would allow voters to decide whether to pass an $18 minimum wage – is actually an effort to repeal the law.” Out of retaliation, Working Washington is demanding a boycott.
Working Washington has provided a list of businesses who have dared to speak out against the $15 minimum wage, and those who are a part of Forward Seattle, on their website… for the boycotting convenience of their fellow activists.
