Are even Jay Inslee’s senior aides as tired of his “leadership” as the rest of this state’s citizens? That question has reared its head because while Jay continues to focus like a laser beam on climate change – and pleasing mega-donor Tom Steyer – another of his top staffers has decided to pursue other opportunities.
Much like Inslee’s first chief of staff (who didn’t last a year in her position), Inslee’s lobbyist – and longtime Olympia veteran – Ted Sturdevant has called it quits without announcing what job might be in the offering to draw him away from public service.
It’s just too bad because, last month, Sturdevant distinguished himself by referring to “science that discredited his [Department of Ecology’s] position as “right-wing propaganda bullshit”, and Republican senators who disagreed with his agency’s policy as “f***ers”.”
He will be missed.
All in all, it sure seems like Sturdevant couldn’t quite face another legislative session advancing Inslee’s one-note extreme environmental agenda.

They don’t come any oilier, ambitious and dishonest than Jay.
