According to the Tax Foundation, Washington state residents pay 24.42 percent of their wireless bill in taxes fees on average.
Washington edged out Nebraska (24.31 percent) for the highest taxes and fees in the country, when federal and state taxes and fees are added.
Nationally, cell phone users pay an average of about 17 percent in combined federal, state, and local tax and fees on wireless service.
