The Washington Education Association (WEA) is not happy with state lawmakers who oppose Initiative 1351, the so-called class size initiative. In retaliation, the union launched an attack targeting the fiscally minded legislators who dared call out I-1351 for what it was: a money-grab disguised as a smaller-class size measure.
The WEA’s attack, unsurprisingly, is highly untruthful and misleading. GOP Rep. Chad Magendanz—one of the targets—pointed out the ridiculous nature of it all in a short, but spot-on Facebook response. After the WEA attempted to demonize him for the student-teacher ratio in his “neighborhood” (Maple Hill, Issaquah), Magendanz pointed out that he achieved the lowest K-3 class sizes while on the Issaquah school board with the lowest per-pupil funding. He asks, “Where are the other districts prioritizing their spending?”

Eastside Sanity says
1351 is just another failed unfunded mandate on a stack of unfunded mandates that have been thrown on the ballet for the simpathy vote by liberal democrats in this state. In the end there will never be enough taxpayer money for anything on their wish list without more tax to spend.
