Just in time for candidate filing week starting next Monday, the State Labor Council is bringing in a legal “expert” to advise unions on how to avoid public disclosure rules and hide the funding for their attack campaigns. From the Stand,
“The Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO invites its affiliated unions to attend this special training conducted by labor attorney Dmitri Iglitzin for unions that have (or want to set up) PACs/segregated funds. It will include a focus on the rules for independent expenditures. The training will is Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Machinists District 751 Hall, 9135 15th Pl. South in Seattle. If you haven’t pre-registered, you may do so at the door (registration starts at 12:30 p.m.)…”
