Jaxon Ravens—new Chair of the Washington State Democrats—is more than just a little confused about his party’s ideals. Yesterday, Ravens sent a fundraising email on behalf of the Democrats’ candidate for state senate in the 45th LD, Matt Isenhower. Ravens’ email explained why donors should support Isenhower, an exemplary candidate of Democrat values.
Ravens writes,
“Matt will stand up for the middle class, for our kids, and for all Washingtonians by advocating for common-sense policies such as sustainable school funding that doesn’t raise taxes.”
Oh… the irony.
A Democrat praising a Democrat candidate for a policy that is a reality due to the leadership of a Republican that said Democrat candidate is running against. All this added to the fact that Democrats in Washington State support not only raising taxes but creating an entirely new tax- the state income tax.
Sen. Andy Hill’s legacy is one that prioritizes education. Under Sen. Hill’s leadership, Washington State’s 2013-15 budget allocates a 4:1 spending ratio for education. Hill’s budget is a complete reversal of the 1:2 education to non-education spending ratio of the past 30 years under Democrats. And, all without raising taxes.

Standard Democrat procedure—When the Republicans do something good the Dem’s take credit for and when the Dems’ do something bad they blame it on the Republicans. Nothing new here.
