It must be painful to be Tom Steyer, the “inconvenient billionaire” as one semi-fawning piece recently called him. After all, he only wants to save the world, but people keep pointing out he is a rich man because of the very fossil fuels he now conveniently rails against– especially those that don’t keep making him money.
But at least he can count on Democrats to keep defending him given how much he is pumping into their campaigns, regardless of whether they agree with him on climate issues.
Being a complete hypocrite has its privileges, evidently – though occasionally it will be pointed out on CNN.
