California billionaire (and blatant hypocrite) Tom Steyer is partnering with a new ally to push his extreme “green” agenda. According to reports, Steyer and the beyond-far-Left Service Employees International Union (SEIU) are launching a “$10 million effort to turn out voters for presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton and other Democratic candidates in Colorado, Ohio and Pennsylvania.”
Steyer (via his bizarrely named NextGen Climate Action political action committee) and SEIU’s partnership is part of a “broader effort to expand collaboration between the labor movement and environmental activists.”
Though the initial plan is to deploy get-out-the-vote field organizers on the ground in Colorado, Ohio and Pennsylvania, the strategy will expand to other states in the next few weeks.
The “expansion” may very well include Washington State. Certainly, Steyer has targeted our state with a similar strategy in the past.
In 2014, Steyer attempted to buy the state Senate for Jay Inslee, to ensure smooth sailing for their shared – and twisted – far-left agenda. Unfortunately for Steyer – but fortunately for Washington taxpayers – voters rejected these slimy attacks and Steyer failed to win a single seat he went after, keeping the Republicans in the Senate majority.
Back in May, Steyer announced a similar partnership with the AFL-CIO, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, the American Federation of Teachers, and the National Education Association to form a new super PAC. The PAC — called For Our Future — also plans to “mobilize voters in key Senate races and presidential battleground states.”
The Steyer-SEIU alliance will not end after the November elections. The two groups plan to “maintain a permanent field infrastructure on the ground.”
In other words, Steyer isn’t planning to go away any time soon. Nor is he planning to avoid washing his dirty money through other groups to achieve his goals – like running for Governor in California sometime.
