The woman that House Democrats re-elected after yet another failed campaign season demonstrated why liberals have little chance of returning to power in Congress, telling Face The Nation that “I don’t think that people want a new direction.”
Evidently losing the White House, failing to win back majorities in the House or Senate, a record number of gubernatorial and state legislative losses across the country did not tell Pelosi that voters want something different than the tired big-government platform that she so very much believes in.
No, all those losses were because Democrats didn’t reach enough voters with their higher taxes/more government control message. “What we want is a better connection of our message to working families,” said Pelosi about what the party needs to instead of changing direction.
Good luck with that, Minority-Leader-for-Life Pelosi.
