The Daily Shift – September 28, 2016

Recovery is almost complete here at Shift, from the debate double-header on Monday night. We’ve read the media analyses, listened to the talking heads, and reviewed the tape, and are left with this lingering question – why is it that two presidential candidates were allowed to interrupt, question, and generally interact with each other in front of millions of people watching on TV, but the organizers (and moderators) of Washington State’s gubernatorial debate did not think voters here could handle seeing Jay Inslee actually answer a question from his opponent?

So, with that in mind we feature today a look at Inslee’s disgusting child abuse joke during the debate, and his almost-as-disgusting fib about the state income he tax he wants. We also take a look at the fibs in his latest campaign fundraising email. And then we look at the fibs from the bureaucrats running the board overseeing the state’s community colleges, who are coming in a couple years late and a couple million over-budget in their effort to upgrade the computer system that ties all the colleges together.

Essentially, it’s a Democrat fib-o-rama today.

But, at least tomorrow the Mariners will be home for the final series of the year, still chasing after the playoff spot that has eluded them for 15 years. And that’s no fib.
