Gov. Jay Inslee announced his supplemental budget proposal today and, wouldn’t you know it, he wants to raise taxes…again. The man who ran for office saying he’d veto tax increases revealed that promise to be a Big Lie almost immediately after taking office. It’s just another reminder – when Democrats say they won’t raise taxes, they’re crossing their fingers behind their backs.
Meanwhile, a Democrat state House member sent a bizarre Tweet today that, among other things, talked about those who would “commoditize” air and water. Apparently he doesn’t know that it’s his party that’s always trying to make a buck off the environment – ethics rules be damned.
Finally Aaron Reardon, the corrupt former Snohomish County Executive, was charged today by the state Public Disclosure Commission for numerous violations of state law. The violations took place over four years ago, but Reardon will finally have to face charges for using taxpayer-funded resources for campaign purposes.
