The Daily Shift – 12/02/15

Social engineering is a common liberal strategy, if only to confuse the voters into thinking that Democrats have all the answers to their problems – just give them the chance (and your tax dollars). One such social experiment going very wrong is the tolling scheme the Inslee administration has inflicted on the poor drivers of I-405 between Bellevue and Lynnwood. Today, Shift highlights the efforts of State Rep. Mark Harmsworth, who is promoting legislation to get the state Department of Transportation to return a carpool lane to I-405 voters, while leaving just one tolling lane in place. We also offer insight into the Seattle City Council’s state legislative agenda (guess who wants a state income tax?), Democrat Troy Kelley’s legal strategy (guess it depends on what the definition of “guilty” is), and Jay Inslee’s recycling of staff members.
