Democrat Rep. Judy Clibborn claims to have been “brutalized” due to her rejection of the I-405 fix, and then offers a “solution” to the tolling scheme meant to appease commuters. Despite claiming she is listening, Clibborn still refuses to get out of the way and allow a perfectly reasonable bill (that has garnered enough bi-partisan support to pass both the state House and the state Senate) to come to a vote in her committee. Meanwhile, Jay Inslee has yet to muster the political courage to publicly support voter-approved [but labor-opposed] charter schools. And, though voters approved a two-thirds supermajority rule on tax increases a total of six times, Democrat lawmakers still don’t appear willing to respect the people’s will.
