Friends –
Last week, Jay Inslee went to Washington D.C. in order to fundraise for his re-election campaign. The trip itself was just another example of Inslee prioritizing his time working on his re-election bid, rather than focusing on anything that would actually help working families in our Washington.
Thus, it should come as no surprise that, when our green governor heard about the congressional Democrats’ publicity stunt sit-in, he decided he could not miss out on a opportunity to continue accomplishing nothing by participating in a purely symbolic event.
Never mind the fact that Democrats’ the chosen bills had already failed – on a bi-partisan basis – in committee, or that the liberals never even attempted to collect the 218 signatures necessary to bring a bill to the floor via petition. Those are the types of inconvenient truths that Inslee never concerns himself with.
For Inslee (as with his fellow Democrats), participating in the sit-in was all about showboating for the cameras, rather than actually doing the hard work necessary to get something done.
Ladies and gentlemen, it’s your aggressively terrible governor at “work”.
