The law prohibits the use of public funds for political purposes. But, the liberals over at Sound Transit don’t seem to care about that not-so-small detail.
Sound Transit officials thought they would try and get away with using taxpayer money to help determine messaging strategies for their ST3 initiative campaign this November. Sound Transit sent out an online survey to learn what the public thinks about its very expensive ST3 plans.
Though officials insisted it was for “outreach” purposes, a PDC spokesperson confirmed that, in her opinion, Sound Transit was trying to gauge what voters would approve. That’s not only unethical, it’s illegal.
Sound Transit’s recent stunt grants insight into the kind of ST3 campaign we can expect leading up to November. That’s why it’s so important to hold Sound Transit accountable.
