Team –
Jay Inslee called the current special legislative session just another piece of an “unfortunate trend.” But, if it is some sort of a trend, it’s one that (ironically enough) kicked into high gear when Inslee became governor.
An inconvenient truth (for Inslee) is that our “green governor” has presided over as many special sessions in less than one term as former Governor Christine Gregoire did during two full terms.
The 2016 legislature extended into another special session mainly because Inslee is a failed leader. Time and time again, Inslee has proven that he is incapable of bringing other elected officials together, and instead prefers an extreme, partisan approach.
All the special sessions are not mere trends. They are symptoms of Inslee’s failed leadership.
