The Daily Shift– October 13, 2016

National events pushed Seattle’s City Council clown show off the Shift pages today, as the continued drip-drip-drip of internal Hillary Clinton campaign emails provide daily amusement – if not enlightenment – for those that aren’t so disgusted by the latest Trump revelations that they have turned off the all electronic communication devices. Likewise disgusting, for very different reasons, was the news we highlight about the millions in taxpayer money Sound Transit is wasting on public art that doubles as a bathroom for transit users.

And, those who remember the river in Colorado that the Environmental Protection Agency turned into wastewater last August, will be heartened to hear that one of the responsible public officials responsible has been let off the hook by the Obama administration (lack of) Justice Department. Evidently, not telling the truth has its merits when dealing with an Obama investigation.

And, while you’re preparing for the weekend’s potentially dangerous windstorm, Shift is letting you know that you have one less thing to worry about, as the State Labor Council has cancelled its doorbell assault on voters in Vancouver and Olympia.

Be safe out there.
