The Daily Shift – November 11, 2016

Happy Veterans Day from Shift. Thank you to all who served, and the families that supported that service to our country.

The end of election week allows us to reflect on another lesson learned, which is that evidently most Washingtonians (at least those outside Seattle and San Juan County) do not love taxes as much as Democrat politicians think they do. And for that we can be thankful, especially for the failure of a couple noxious statewide initiatives (and the income tax in Olympia).

We can also be thankful that Harry Reid is finally leaving the U.S. Senate. His particularly toxic approach to politics will not be missed.

Someone who will be missed, however, is State Senator Andy Hill. We wrote about his passing last week, and repeat that feature today, on the day of his memorial service. Godspeed Andy.
