The Daily Shift – November 04, 2016

Shift closes out a somber week with a tribute to one of our favorites, State Senator Andy Hill. His passing on Monday has left a hole in the hearts of people from too many places to mention: in Washington State politics, on soccer fields in Redmond, public schools throughout the Eastside (and state), and among Microsoft employees (and alums).

As the Seattle Times wrote, “He will be missed.”

However, with the election coming up Tuesday, we must trudge on to the finish, so today we highlighted the liberal moneybags over at Fuse Washington. No one knows how much dark money they have over there in the liberal commune in the Vance Building on Third Avenue – since they don’t disclose their finances – but they sure brag a lot about how many Democrats they elect.

No one knows also what is going through the head of the director of the state’s Department of Corrections – least of all his boss Jay Inslee – but his decision that we should stop calling prison inmates “offenders” has folks talking. And not agreeing with his liberal worldview.

Remember to set those clocks back, and enjoy that extra hour of sleep Sunday.
