Danger – steep taxes ahead!
That’s the message in today’s Shift, if Jay “I will veto tax increases” Inslee has his way. Turns out that once the votes are in, it’s safe for Jay to start proposing the tax increases he said were bad during the campaign. How does $4 billion over the next two years sound to you?
Also breaking his campaign promises now that the election is over is Lt. Governor-elect Cyrus Habib. Turns out that Cyrus is not quite the “collaborator” that he portrayed himself to voters, though anyone who has ever met the partisan attack dog that Cyrus is would know that.
And, while Maria Cant(do)well didn’t have to be talking to voters during the campaign, since she was not on the ballot, she has to start getting ready for 2018. So, we also report today that Maria is taking a page out of Cyrus Habib’s playbook, and going on the attack.
Guess we can all get used to that for the next couple years from our state’s junior Senator.
