The Daily Shift – December 13, 2016

We’re into the 12 days before Christmas, and it turns out that one of the items that King County Democrats wanted was “one new State Senator who wasn’t selected by her district”. So, Shift has a couple items on that controversial selection, including one that points out that some reporters don’t seem to focus too much on actual facts when writing their stories.

We also write about how the Seattle Times has problems figuring out internet search, and want a little help from the state legislature. Yeah, that’s easier than hiring actual reporters.

And finally, we lament (a bit) about the retirement of the Seattle City Council’s lone “conservative” – and gee, isn’t that a lonely job.
