There is snow on the ground (sort of) in the Puget Sound area, after about a week of our region’s weather forecasters breathlessly predicting a “snow event.” Just as predictable, from the Shift team point of view, are three stories we wrote about today:
1. Seattle Public Schools is facing a deficit, but it’s not the fault of anyone at the district that they can’t count right.
2. Nancy Pelosi doesn’t think Democrats have to change their direction, because their losses are not the fault of anyone in her caucus that the liberals forgot how to talk to working class voters.
3. John Henry Browne is defending another sketchy client (this time himself), but it’s not his fault that spending the night at his client’s house might set tongues-a-waggin’ in a big city like Ephrata – was just saving money on hotels, or something.
And big congratulations to the state’s big-time football teams – the UW is going after a national title (that must run through Alabama), the Cougars are spending their holiday at the Holiday Bowl, Eastern Washington is now in the national quarter-finals, and the Seahawks got revenge (bigly) on the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year, Carolina.
