In an enlightening piece by the Washington Policy Center’s environmental policy expert, Todd Myers asks why the Seattle Times is willing to promote such an environmental extremist as Paul Kennard.
Kennard is evidently able to worm his way into a major weekend story about the tragic Oso landslide because he is more than happy to hurl attacks at a logging company. But perhaps the Times reporters, who considered him a serious source, should have done a little research on Kennard.
Unfortunately, the Times didn’t have time do that extra work (because it certainly couldn’t be liberal bias on the part of the reporter) and discover Kennard’s wacky past. Fortunately for you, Myers did. You can read Kennard’s views on people fire-bombing buildings at the UW being “eco-patriots” and “geologist prostitutes” in Myers’ article.
