In a move that will certainly confuse the less informed members of their base, liberals have declared Democrat State Senator Rodney Tom as their top target for 2014. And, with the legislative session over less than a week, the negative campaign rhetoric is already in overdrive for the Democrats’ top attack site, FUSE.
Already twice this week FUSE has appealed for funds. They plan to raise $10,000 “for launching organizers and outreach” in the 48th district.
Of course, since Tom has won elections as both a Republican (in the State House, in 2002 and 2004) and as a Democrat (State Senate in 2006 and 2010), beating him will require that FUSE conFUSE the electorate as much as possible during the campaign. I wonder if they will dust off any of the Democrat endorsements of Sen. Tom in 2006 to help with the campaign?
